Our Games will be held in and around Boise and Meridian, Idaho, starting August 3 and ending September 11. For the calendar and details of the events, click on the "2022 Idaho Senior Games" tab above.

This year’s games will feature 18 different sports from archery to triathlon. The 2021 Games attracted over 800 athletes. The Idaho games are "open", meaning we welcome athletes from other states.

The 2022 Games will be a "qualifier" for the 2023 National Games to be held in Pittsburgh that summer.

The Idaho Senior Games is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Severa as its new State Director. Tim follows Mike Thornton who retired after 9 years with the games.

Mr. Severa, a native of the Twin Falls area, attended College of Southern Idaho and Boise State University, on track and cross country scholarships.

In 1979, Mr. Severa joined the Treasure Valley YMCA as a fitness specialist. He has been the Events and Track and Field Coordinator for the past 42 years. Active in local high schools, Tim as coached the Borah High School cross country and track teams, and has been instrumental in organizing regional championship events.


The Idaho Senior Games, held in Boise, Idaho, have been an important part of active seniors’ lives since 1989. Idaho Senior Games is a social and recreational experience designed to encourage health and fitness of men and women age 50 and over on all levels of fitness. We encourage participation and award gold, silver, and bronze medals to the top three participants in each age category in each event.

Idaho Senior Games is a member of the National Senior Games Association. All events and activities are coordinated by the Idaho Senior Games Board of Directors, staff and volunteers. We are dedicated to putting on the best State Senior Games in the country.
